Stratford Swim Club

Now that the New Year is off to a cold start what better time to think about joining the swim club! Packets have been emailed and are in the process of being postal mailed to 2009 members. The Board of Directors works in the off-season to get the club ready to open on Memorial Day weekend, which isn’t that far away. This year the Board was forced to adopt a dues increase for the first time in two years to cope with rising costs throughout the club. Look for a new play area for the kids as we expect to replace the collection of outside equipment with a complete playground set.

As always our swim team continues to shine and it is an excellent opportunity for you and your children to learn the strokes, make great friends, compete, and spend time at the club.

This year the Board plans to continue a few of the social events that were held last year.

The Swim Club Open House is planned for June 5th and 6th. Tell your friends considering joining to come out and give it a try for the weekend.

Membership Appreciation Day was a huge success. Perfect weather, good food, and many members took advantage of the discounted 2010 membership offered. Watch for signs advertising this event for late August.

Look for additional details on other planned events on our bulletin board. Don't forget to check the website frequently throughout the year for updates.

The Board would like to thank Charlene Smedley for her service to the club. Without volunteers on the Board, the swim club would not operate. If you are interested, please contact a Board member. We are always looking for additional assistance and new ideas.

New for 2010 is an on-line fill in and print application form. Sometimes deciphering application handwriting can be a group effort! If it’s typed out there’s no question as to what it says. The form can be found on membership page.

We have emailed the 2010 Membership Packet! If you provided us with an address, please check your inbox. If you didn't receive a packet it may be due to a problem with your email address. In that case, send us an email at stratfordswimclub@verizon.net and we'll reply with a packet.

If you took advantage of the 2010 early signup in August and have received a packet, please disregard the packet. You're already set for the summer or 2010.
